Tesla takes different road with solar tiles

Better know for it’s range of high-end electric cars, the latest innovation out of Tesla is focused on energy generation with the its most intriguing new product – the solar tile. There have been so many issues, aesthetic and practical, with putting solar panels in frames on top of existing roofs. To address these issues Tesla’s solar tiles actually are the roof. Resembling normal roofing tiles, the solar tiles will be offered in a variety of styles, from slate and terra cotta to smooth or textured dark gray.

For now the the solar tiles will only be available and installed in the U.S.
