Is your organisation making a difference in the community? Would an extra financial boost help your mahi?
We’d love to support the amazing mahi you’re doing.
Each year, we run two community funding rounds, offering up to $10,000 to support important community projects that need financial assistance. Each successful applicant can receive up to $1,000 to fund community-focused initiatives.
Applications for our first funding round for 2026 opens on 1 March (recipients will be announced in April).
How to apply:
Applications open: 1 March and 1 September – yearly
Applications close: 31 March and 30 September – yearly
Recipients announced: April and October – yearly
Whether your project focuses on energy hardship, education, future technology, or any other area that benefits our community, we encourage you to apply.

- Benefit Waipā communities
- Are offered free of charge
- Support community wellbeing and help strengthen communities
What we don’t sponsor
We’re unlikely to sponsor:
- Travel and accommodation costs
- Ongoing operating expenses
- Financial support for an individuals

If your organisation, project or activity is aligned with our focus areas and is positively contributing to the Waipā community, we want to hear from you.
