Gumboot gala returns for 2023 with support from Waipā Networks

In support of mental health, the Te Awamutu Gumboot Gala, run by Gumboot UP, is returning to the Te Awamutu rugby fields on 3 November.

As a proud event sponsor, Waipā Networks is all set to offer its support and contribute to the cause.

This year’s gala promises to be bigger and better than ever, with something for everyone.

Gumboot UP is a huge advocator for Tamariki’s mental health, especially when an average counsellor appointment costs $140, and now Gumboot UP can support Tamariki. This was a driver for Gumboot Friday.

Gumboot Friday happens every year and aims to fund free and fast counselling for youth in need. The Gumboot Gala is much the same, offering an opportunity to nurture safe community connections while having fun and raising funds for the cause at the same time.

A large selection of stalls and services will be on offer at the Gumboot Gala, with live entertainment and activities. Waipā Networks will be there with a marquee, various exciting activities and a never-done-before Waipā Networks experience.

Rain is predicted, but don’t let that hold you back from supporting Tamariki. Get those gumboots and raincoats to join us in Te Awamutu on 3 November at 4pm.
