Building stronger relationships for the future

We recently signed a Whakapiringa Ngākau (Memorandum of Understanding) with Te Nehenehenui, the Post Settlement Governance Entity for Maniapoto, marking the start of a closer working relationship focused on future energy resilience and opportunities to collaborate on infrastructure initiatives across areas where our interests align.

The agreement provides a foundation for both organisations to work together, combining Te Nehenehenui’s leadership, knowledge and understanding of Maniapoto aspirations with Waipā Networks’ technical expertise and experience in energy infrastructure.

Together, we will explore opportunities that can strengthen energy resilience, support sustainable development, and deliver long-term benefits for communities across the wider region.

Chief Executive Damien Whiffen says the agreement reflects how we want to work more closely with communities across our network.
