Government announces rebates for electric vehicles.

The Government has announced a rebate scheme for electric vehicles that comes into effect from 1 July 2021.  As Waipa Networks has found with the 8 (and growing!) EVs in our fleet, they cost significantly less to run and the new rebate scheme will bring the purchase costs closer to their traditional combustion engine counterparts.   The above diagram is summary of the rebates, with more detail available at https://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/clean-car-programme/clean-car-discount/.
