Waipā Networks & Cambridge Community House

Te Awamutu, Tuesday 25 July – Waipā Networks marked another community milestone by establishing a sustainable partnership with the Cambridge Community House Trust. As part of this unique partnership, we’re sponsoring an Electric Vehicle (EV) for Cambridge Community House’s use, ensuring the organisation can carry out their community work efficiently and sustainably without incurring running costs.

Cambridge Community House is a not-for-profit organisation that plays a crucial role in supporting families and individuals in the Cambridge Community. They provide a wide range of services, including counselling, financial assistance, healthcare, and food support services, helping those in need lead better lives.

Gabby Byrne, General Manager and Board Chair of Cambridge Community House is grateful for the contribution made by Waipā Networks to their organisation. She highlighted the electric vehicle’s positive impact on their efforts to support and assist various community members.

Waipā Networks’ generous gesture of providing an electric vehicle aligns perfectly with our core values and enables us to serve our community more sustainably.” said Gabby.

Sean Horgan, CEO of Waipā Networks, is enthusiastic about working with Cambridge Community House and other organisations supporting local communities in the Waipā region. “People like Gabby and her team at Cambridge Community House do some amazing work supporting our community. To be able to help them in a way that also helps our environment is extremely rewarding for both myself and the Waipā Networks whanau” said Sean.

In addition to the EV sponsorship, we’re also working with Cambridge Community House on other key community initiatives, such as providing Energy Assessments to reduce household power costs and through distributing Winter Warmer Packs to those in need. These initiatives are part of their commitment to support local families experiencing hardship.
